Today the terminus of the passenger services, the Westvic container depot is a few kms west

Westvic Container Handling operates an intermodal terminal at the end of the Warrnambool line.

The line once continued west beyond Warrnambool to Port Fairy, but was truncated at Dennington to serve the Nestle (now Fonterra) factory, which received briquettes by rail. This traffic stopped in the early 2000s and the line is disused, being baulked at the Westvic container terminal west of Warrnambool
