Photos of the remains of the Brookwood sidings which branches off from the Newport - Sunshine line on the southern side of the West Gate Freeway. The sidings faced Newport and went west, going to various industries including a meatworks.

The Apex Quarry siding leaving from the Sunshine side of Brooklyn yard, and runs westward. After leaving the main line it curves slightly, crosses a road, and slips into two. The west branch goes the the former VR tip. The other continues on until it is running west and parallel to a dirt road. After about a km it crosses the road and goes into the quarry siding.

A new bridge was completed in 2009 to allow standard gauge trains to run from the North East Line to the Western SG Lines avoiding the need to run around in Tottenham Loop.
