Corio Signal Box

Signal Box
Line: Geelong and Warrnambool
Opened: January 6, 1914

In 1914 Corio was interlocked with a 30 lever frame housed in a signal bay.

A 6 lever panel was provided in 1967 to control the up end of a new connection to the Phosphate Sidings at North Shore.

In 1981 in conjunction with the duplication of the line the existing frame and panel were replaced with a single new panel with switch out facilities.

Remote control from North Geelong A was provided in 2001 with a Westcad terminal. This terminal was relocated to the Geelong Signal Control Centre in 2005 in conjunction with the Regional Fast Rail resignalling of the Geelong line.
