Located atop the Moonee Ponds Creek bridge and beneath CityLink, at Spion Kop Junction the track pairs from Southern Cross platforms 15/16 and platforms 1-8 meet.

Additional tracks from Melbourne Yard goods lines and Kensington also meet up here, with a flat junction has been provided between all routes.
