Ararat Triangle

Competed in 2019, the Ararat Triangle lets standard gauge trains to and from the Avoca line run direct to Melbourne, without having to run around their train at Ararat.

Qube Intermodal

In October 2019 track 'A' at North Shore was converted from standard to broad gauge, so that Qube Logistics could run cement trains to the nearby Boral clinker plant at Lascelles Wharf

Wyndham Vale Stabling

A new stabling yard being construction in 2019 north of Wyndham Vale station, to replace the stabling yard at E Gate that is going to be covered by roads as part of the West Gate Tunnel project.
